Since 1967, the Bermuda Red Cross Equipment Rental Department has been a vital resource for residents and visitors alike. We provide essential medical and childcare items to support those recovering from surgery, managing long-term health challenges, or hosting families on-island.
Located at our purpose-built facility at "Charleswood" in Paget, our service helps over 900 customers annually. We take pride in offering an affordable and practical alternative to purchasing expensive equipment. Our inventory is constantly evolving to meet the island's needs—most recently with the expansion of our Hospital Bed Rental program in 2026, launched to support the growing demand for home-based palliative and recovery care in Bermuda.

To ensure the item you need is in stock, we recommend calling us at 441-236-8277 or emailing rentals@bermudaredcross.com to place a reservation. You can then pick up your equipment at our dedicated rental facility located at the back of "Charleswood," 11 Berry Hill Road, Paget.
Our rental department is open Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Please note we are closed on weekends and public holidays.
Absolutely. We frequently assist visitors with wheelchairs, transport chairs, and childcare items like pack-and-plays or high chairs to make their stay on the island more comfortable.

Yes! As of 2026, we have expanded our service to include fully electric hospital beds. This service was designed to help families bring loved ones home from the hospital with the necessary clinical support. Due to high demand, we recommend reserving these as far in advance as possible.
While we primarily operate on a pickup basis, we can provide information on local delivery partners who are familiar with transporting our larger equipment. Please ask our rental coordinator for details when booking.
